Royal Power…..

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue

Or walk with kings—nor lose the common touch—Kipling

Those phases from Kipling's poem makes me think of power in an introspectively.  I think most people focus on outward displays of power.  It takes power to continuously work & stay focused when you are far from or fail at your goal.  The color for power is purple.

Cause Baby I’ve Got my Eye on You…..

Honeydew & I are taking the plunge and getting hitched this year.  Thinking outside the box I decided to create our rings.  I used his favorite stone: Tiger’s Eye. Tiger’s Eye is know to boost your health, spiritual, and mental well being.  I’ve got some great ideas rolling around my head for the wedding bands.

Wisdom brightens the Countenance……

Wisdom is defined as having experience, knowledge, and good judgment.  When most people think of wisdom they think of older people, because they have lived a long time and have experience & knowledge.  But if they don’t have good judgment they are don’t have wisdom.  I think it is essential to use wisdom to create a successful business or person.  The color for wisdom will be yellow, because it is so noticeable.  Like a summer day filled with sunshine!

Naturally Flyy Detroit Meet-up…..

When I first started my naturally hair journey I found great resources on blogs like:

bglhonline, curlynikki, lecoil, naurallyobsessed, kisforkinky ,lntks, and hairinspiration.  Then I found out about youtube and got hooked on kimmaytube, africanexports, Kinkycurlyqueen, whoissugar, longhairdon’tcare, glamazini, innovativethinking, prettydimples, BeautifulBrwnBabydoll, Summyr1988.  But now I have my local fix with Naturally Flyy Detroit!  I’ve missed the first couple of meet-up’s but the stars aligned and I made the 5th one with the Men’s roundtable.  It was awesome to see so many natural ladies under one roof and to feel the love & support.  I’m defiantly going to attend the next one.  More on that later!!!

Steadfast Love….

Love is so important to a business, especially when promoting your business.  When you are in love you are confident and it shows.  Your love for your business has to be conveyed to your audience.  Because if you don’t believe & love your product why should they.  The color pink is going to be my color for love.

Strength after Weakness…..

This month I am focusing on Strength.  When you prep for a big interview the experts tell you to be prepared to talk about your weakness and turn them into strengths.  Half the battle is identification, because you got to be honest during your self evaluation.  Then once you know what you working with you can make allowance for you weakness and still achieve your goal.  I choose green for my color for strength.  In the very beginning of Spring, little green shoots are breaking out of the ground. While the weather is still pretty cold and it might even snow a time or two before it’s consistently warmer.  Those shoots continue to grow and bud then we all notice all the green and declare Spring has Sprung.

Faith verses Failure….

I have Faith that my business will grow.  I will not accept Failure!  But I need to support my Faith with work.  Each month I am going to focus on an attribute that I think is essential to being a successful person, assign it a color, and create some jewelry that corresponds.  My color for Faith is blue.  One can believe anything is possible when you see blue skies!
